January in Pilsen by Valeria

In January, I started the month in Valencia, my hometown. I spent Christmas with my family and friends, which made me very happy. I also visited Zaragoza, where part of my family lives. I was there on the 24th and 25th to enjoy the Christmas holidays together.

In Valencia, I also enjoyed New Year’s Eve and the Three Kings’ Day celebrations. It was a lot of fun and very special. I felt a little sad to leave, but I was happy knowing that I was returning to my new home.

After that, I returned to Pilsen very excited. When I arrived, I found a lot of cold and snow! It was amazing because I am not used to seeing snow, so everything looked very beautiful and magical.

During the first weeks, we went back to our routine. We restarted our English and Spanish classes, dance lessons with the girls from ADETO, and we enjoyed nice walks around Pilsen. However, to be honest, we also spent a lot of time at home because of the cold weather.

After coming back from Christmas, we also had a small welcome party together. We shared sweets, exchanged small gifts, and spent a very nice time talking and laughing. It was a lovely way to start the new year and feel close again after the holidays.

On the last weekend of the month, we went skiing in the Šumava mountains. It was very fun, even though we fell many times because we didn’t know how to ski. Even so, we laughed a lot and enjoyed the experience.

I am very excited to see what Pilsen has prepared for me in 2026. I am sure it will be a great year.
